The Bible (According to my Sister): Elijah (Eat Some Bread and Take a Nap)

Posted on

Abbey has been inspired by social media and the sisters turn their sight on a small passage about food and naps, nestled between some of Elijah’s greatest adventures.

Shannon finally listened to some of her Dad’s ramblings and watched a movie from the 70’s. It actually had a pretty good message.

The Bible (According to my Sister): Samson’s Mom (Has got it going on)

In the Bible Story Corner, Abbey pulls a topic from her list of to-dos, and the sisters return to the world of Samson. Abbey and Shannon discuss the many different theories surrounding Samson’s mom.

On a scale from 1 to 8 with 13 being the highest Shannon says the Samson movie that came out last year is about an 11. There weren’t enough musical numbers.

Bible (According to my Sister): Daniel and the Lions Den

In the Bible Story Corner, Abbey talks about an old favorite, Daniel and the Lion’s Den. It’s a pleasant counterpoint to the drunken mess of a movie that Shannon found to watch.

The Bible (According to my Sister): God and His Asherah

Posted on

We’re signing off on season one with a cliff-hanger. (Don’t worry, season two starts Jan. 2)

That’s right we’ve survived a whole year of podcasts, and to celebrate Abbey is going full girl power talking about the goddess Asherah and her place in the bible.

In Silly Stuff, Shannon finally gets to let off a year’s worth of pent up excitement about her most favoritest bible-ish book ever.

Join us for this wild ride that ends is a heart stopping cliffhanger, or at least a joke that could kind of be a cliff hanger?
